Responsibilities

Perform veterinary procedures including vaccinations, wound care, and minor surgeries with precision and care
Assist in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and treatments
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies following veterinary protocols and guidelines
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for each patient, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, grooming, and preventive care practices
Support laboratory testing procedures such as blood work or sample collection to aid in diagnosis
Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety
Handle animals with patience and skill, including dog handling and general animal husbandry practices
Experience

Prior veterinary critical care experience is highly desirable for managing urgent cases effectively
Demonstrated animal handling skills across various species, including dogs and equines
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy to accurately diagnose and treat conditions
Experience with laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine is preferred
Familiarity with pet grooming, animal restraint techniques, and aseptic surgical protocols
Previous exposure to animal catheterization procedures and laboratory testing enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive care
Strong background in animal husbandry practices ensures the well-being of all patients under your care
