Located in the rapidly growing and family-friendly lakeside community of Chapin, South Carolina, Chapin Veterinary Care Center is a multi-doctor small animal veterinary practice that highly values our relationships with our staff, clients, and patients. Being privately owned by one veterinarian, Dr. Kristine Laabs, allows our clinic to craft its own unique policies and culture that are supportive of our team and employees as well as providing the highest level of care to our patients and clients.
Our team currently includes two full-time veterinarians and several part-time relief veterinarians, along with well-trained and highly utilized technical support staff who are all ready to welcome you into a supportive and collaborative work environment. Whether you are a recent graduate just beginning your career or an experienced veterinarian looking for the right clinic to settle down in, we have a place for you here to further your professional growth and cultivate a loyal client base.
A healthy work-life balance is encouraged and achievable thanks to reasonable working hours and a manageable but fulfilling caseload and schedule, as we do not accept after-hours emergencies. We are fortunate to have two twenty-four-hour emergency and specialty centers nearby along with three different urgent care clinics available for referral. Our full-time doctors work four 10-hour days a week with appointments scheduled every 30 minutes in the morning and afternoon, and two hours blocked off for lunch at noon. Each vet is assigned one day a week for surgeries if they choose to do them. Our clinic is considered to be very family friendly and many of our staff members have children and families who thrive in the Chapin community.
We are seeking a veterinarian to join our team either as a fulltime or part-time associate to work two to four days a week and one Saturday a month (from 8am-12pm). Base salary and production bonuses will be commensurate with experience and your desired schedule. Additional benefits will depend on your employment status but may include health insurance, a substantial continuing education allowance, local/state/national dues and licensure, and paid time off.
New graduates are welcome to apply, mentorship is available as needed.
If all of this sounds like a good fit for you, please contact us so we can discuss your future here at Chapin Veterinary Care Center.
