Shelter Veterinarian

GENERAL SUMMARY

Performs a variety of professional veterinary duties including the diagnosis of medical conditions, medical treatment, and surgery when necessary for the animals in the care of the Anderson County Animal Shelter. Recommends and evaluates treatment plans including testing for diseases and appropriate vaccinations.  Provides professional advice to the Deputy Administrator, Animal Control, Shelter Manager, and other County officials on issues of animal care, health, and safety.
