Dogwood Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. This position is primarily for Saturday and Sunday shifts, with the opportunity for additional weekday hours for the right candidate.

Position Details

• Primarily Saturday and Sunday shifts
• Additional weekday hours may be available

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
• Safely restrain and handle patients
• Collect and process laboratory samples
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the clinic
• Provide compassionate client communication and support
• Assist with front desk duties when needed

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience required
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn
